BE-CERT Expert in cement

Cement is a construct product used in the composition of mortar and concrete. The hydraulic binder (i.e. binder that reacts when mixed with water) hardens quickly and reaches its maximum strength and stability, even under water. The principal component of cement ? The clinker that is made by heating calcium carbonate (CaCO3) with silica (SiO2) at high temperature (1450°C). There are different types of cement: Portland, HSR (high sulfate resisting), LA (low alkali), HES (high early strength), ...
